Brody had started limping and not using his rear right leg. Being a Lab we thought he had chased the Ball too long, as he never stopped til we hid the ball. Well it didn’t heal and after a visit to his doctor it was thought he had a soft tissue injury. He was to rest, yes he’s a Lab so this was impossible, and heal. But the opposite happened and so we did further tests i.e. X-rays. I received the call after I walked in house from work. My world crashed, Brody is my boy, my life. I heard sarcoma and cried. Asked his Doctor if I could call her in morning as I could not think or talk. He is only 3! How could this be!

Deep breath…….there are proactive solutions uou can take, okay?
this is a shock to hear, but Brody didn’t hear it and could care less about what the Vet said.
When you can clear your head, speak with your Vet tomorrow, get a consult with an Orthopedic Suegeon and an Onco. Every dog is different and your Brody is not a statistic. He is a young vibrant fit sweet boy and he has a lot of fight in him.
As Admin said, if you can hop over to the forums uou will find lots of answers to your questions and concerns from those who have “been there, done that”.
BTW….the picture of him on his blog……ADORABLE!! His personality comes shiny through!
Hugs
Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too!
Thank, we are anxiously awaiting Monday. Brody is happily living his life not caring what is about to happen. His Doctors are great and I know they will take great care of him. We do have a team of doctors working on his case. My daughter is also a vet tech so great support.
You’re right, he’s young and it’s so insane that cancer can touch a dog like this. I’m so sorry! His young age is also a plus, it gives him the oomph to bounce back from amputation and beat the odds. And with the great care he’s getting, he has everything he needs to kick cancer’s butt! Just let us know how we can help.
P.S. Who did the pawesome painting? LOVE IT!
Thank you for the support. My friend painted his portrait and she has done all my boys. She seems to catch their personalities.
